Artspace Windgate Campus Project

J. W. Heavrin Inc. is thrilled to support the Artspace Windgate Campus, the newest creative hub in the Historic East End of Little Rock. Developed in collaboration with the Windgate Foundation, Artspace Projects will transform the area with the addition of over 60 one, two, and three-bedroom units and 10 artist-in-residence units. Our team is performing critical site utility construction to support the campus’s infrastructure, providing reliable site utility services to this rich community of creative companies, artists, and organizations.
This project showcases our expertise due to age and uncertainty of existing underground utilities while relocating the water main. Our ability to coordinate with the General Contractor, Owner, Engineer and Water Inspector when changes arose.
Scope of Work Included:
Relocation of 20” water main
Installation of domestic water lines, fire service lines, fire hydrants, and meter assemblies.
Excavation and Installation of 6” service line and 3” domestic line
Precision trenching and backfilling for all utility systems, ensuring safe installation around future building pads.
Construction began in October 2024, with opening scheduled for Spring 2026. J. W.
