Jefferson Regional Medical Center Project

Located in Pine Bluff, Jefferson Regional Medical Center (JRMC) is one of the largest healthcare facilities in South Arkansas, providing essential medical services to residents across eleven counties. As a 265-bed, private, not-for-profit regional hospital, JRMC continues to invest in modern infrastructure to improve care delivery, safety, and operational efficiency.

J. W. Heavrin Inc. provided underground utility construction services as part of the hospital’s ongoing site improvement initiatives. The project involved the careful installation of new water, sewer, and fire protection systems designed to meet healthcare facility standards while maintaining full operational continuity throughout construction.

Scope of Work Included:

Installed a 4-inch domestic water line to improve water service reliability to hospital facilities.

Installed an 8-inch fire main to enhance on-site fire protection infrastructure.

Excavated and installed an 8-inch sanitary sewer main complete with a pump station and grinder system for efficient wastewater management.

Installed a 2-inch force main extending from the pump station to complete the sanitary system.

Collaborated closely with hospital facility teams and local utility authorities to ensure safety, code compliance, and minimal impact on hospital operations.
